We are moving next week. Just across the neighborhood. 1.3 miles to the other side of our lake. We are beyond excited. There is some work to do over there in the future to really make it our dream home - but the good news is - the studio will be ready to go within days! I am so excited for the new space and for clients to not walk through my garage anymore! YAY! (Thank you to all who have come here time and time again and have walked through my garage to get to the studio - I appreciate you all!) But. This studio here - it was such a momentous space. It was where I LAUNCHED my business (for real). It was where I turned my hobby into my career. It was my first real space for my clients. I did so much to make it what it is. I put my heart into this space. Renovated, had things built custom, added finishing touches that made all my clients who walked in go "WOW! This is beautiful!" And that means a lot. I am sort of sentimental about leaving this space BUT I am more excited to have a new space. And for all of my loyal clients to follow me to this new studio. I promise to make this new studio just as beautiful. And to welcome you all to bring your babies, your children, your families and to once again trust me as your photographer to capture these memories for you! It is what I absolutely LOVE todo. Now. This little babe here - Madelyn. Which is SOOOO ironic that my last baby in my studio has the same name as my daughter. Coincidence? Fate? Who knows. It's is a crazy thing. Little Madelyn was amazing. She was all smiley for me and she let me pretty much do everything we had planned out! Her big sister was great too - some bribing and some M&Ms - made those sibling shots all worth it! So. Here is to a new beginning! I cannot wait to meet my new babies of 2021! This year was a little funky. But I THANK all my clients who trusted me through this pandemic. To be safe, keep them safe and to give them a wonderful session through it all! THANK YOU, thank you! If you're looking for a newborn photographer - or any photographer in the new year - contact me today and let's get you scheduled and on my calendar! Until then, have a happy & prosperous new year! CHRISTMAS TIME!
HOLIDAY MINIS are here! Christmas spirit is HERE! These sessions were super fun and I love how many families wanted to jump in on the fun! Have a look at how this year's scenes and setups turned out!
Missed out? Want your pictures taken? I'm going to have ONE more round of these sessions! SUNDAY, november 22nd and MONDAY, november 23rd! If you are interested in getting a spot - book it NOW!
NOVEMBER 1st. AND DONE.
Now - after this - only CHRISTMAS vibinnnnn is to happen here for the next two months or so! But I must say - these fall minis this year were soooooo good. Like so good. Weather, families, outfits, cuties, memories, laughable moments, and the foliage - ON POINT!! Thank you all for supporting my business during these uncertain times - enjoy some sneaks! ANNDDDDDD we are almost done with the fall mini sessions - only a handful left over the next week! But in the meantime......
I am getting ready for my IN-STUDIO sessions (click here to see what that's all about) I have a couple spots still open for those!! Sign up HERE! But for now, enjoy these beautiful families! We had great weather &&& lots of smiles! CELIA. Do you remember her? We just saw each other in June for her little family session celebrating her big TWO year old birthday! And here we are again - for some FALL VIBES!
This little girl. She has so much sass. So much personality - it would be a shame for me NOT to let her run the photoshoot. I live for all of her smiles, laughs, giggles and even sassy faces during this entire session. SHE is the center of their world - so she should be the center of this shoot too. DUH. Enjoy little miss CELIA - and if you want to see her previous shoots {CLICK HERE & HERE &&&& HERE oh wait, and here for her newborn session! Cue the tears for mom} LOVE THESE CLIENTS WHO CHOOSE ME time and time and time again! Love you guys! Until next year..... A first for me. A proposal. I got asked to do this proposal Friday! The proposal took place that Sunday. It was very last minute - but I wanted to try and squeeze this into my extremely crazy fall session schedule. So, I thought. I thought. I thought. How can I make this work.... Chris & Nicole - I have never met them before. But they know my best friends. So - I knew I had to make this work. For everyone involved. I decided if this was going to work - I had to bring the whole family with me. We would have to hike altogether (get there about 30 minutes before the couple - because, hiking with two kids takes a bit of time - water breaks, rock throwing breaks, falling breaks, snack breaks, all of it) so I had John skip soccer Sunday morning and we headed out at 8AM to get to the trails for 9:15. I told Chris to text me AS MUCH as he could to keep me posted without making anything too obvious. He did just that. He kept me posted at the main landmarks of the hike - it has about two/three views before the actual peak at the top! Which was where we were meeting. Everything was going great. Kids were doing great - the weather was gorgeous - timing was perfect. We got to the top of the peak. I had told a bunch of women who were around the flag (the spot we had discussed him proposing) about what was going to go down and if they can clear the way a bit. They were so excited this was happening - they slowly started to tell others around them. It was super cute. They actually ended up VIDEOING it on their phones and then sending the video to me and I sent it to Chris & Nicole. THERE ARE GOOD PEOPLE on this earth! Anyways. So I finally see them. Chris had given me a description of what they were wearing along with pictures & I told him he really couldn't miss US but sent him pictures of the gang too! So. Let's go through what happened.... As they got closer - I was testing my lighting and trying to take some pictures of the spot they were going to stand in. So I overly said things like "JOHN, MAKE A SILLY FACE!" so that they knew I was just a crazy photog mom taking pictures of her kids. Then they came over. I snapped this as sneakily as I could. Then. They were disturbed. This was pretty funny. I was ready to start snapping away. Everyone was ready for it to happen. THEN. These guys approached Chris. And everyone thought it was part of the plan. IT wasn't. These two guys went to high school with him and they haven't seen each other in YEARS so they literally STOPPED him from popping the question. Like he was about to get down on one knee. THANK god it was perfect time and it was actually a very smooth distraction. She had no idea. But WE WERE ALL LIKE.....WHAT THE HELL! Did they really just do that? Then. IT HAPPENED. He got down on one knee... &&&& SHE SAID YESSSS!!!! They hugged. Everyone around them CLAPPED! She stared at the ring box. They hugged some more. Then - he put that ring on her finger! He did it! Everyone congratulated them - they made some phone calls and then he brought out some champagne! It was adorable. And I am sooo happy I got to capture these pictures for them. Enjoy these sneaks!
What a gorgeous weekend. I am absolutely loving this extra warmer weather bringing us through October! I am ALL for that. And my clients don't have to freeze! They get to actually wear fall attire and feel comfortable in it! No faking it!
I started out in New York on Saturday with half of these beautiful families + then Sunday evening was back in Jersey with the other half! The good weather, the gorgeous families, the impeccable outfit choices - so many things to be so very happy about! Most of the kids were super easy going and pretty "EASY" for these pictures. Just a handful made me dance like a pyscho or sneeze "ACCHHOOOOO" really, really loud and dramatic. Had to sing wheels on the bus a couple times with some ABCs - but we made it. Got the smiles. Okay. Almost there - only a handful more of these sessions left to go! If you missed family sessions - click here to see if I still have any availability for my in-studio holiday sessions in November! If you want to see what those look like - click there! WOAH. Guys, I am sorta drowning in editing. And blogging. And shooting. And sharing. And ALL OF IT. I know, I know - it's busy season. But man with two kids at home now (one being the baby and the most difficult of ALLLLLL) yeah this is way harder this time around trying to stay on top of all of these sessions. But I got it. I got it. I will get it done. And in the correct time-frame. I will keep my promises. ONE WEEK TURNAROUND! I've had to have my babysitter over a whole lot to do all of this - she is very, very happy about that - and I am working my little tush off. My hubby and I leave for Vermont this weekend. I CANNOT WAIT. We usually do that. We plan a little getaway the first free weekend I have after my fall mini's are over and right before the craziness of my holiday minis in November. A much needed mental break. From momming + photographing + editing. I am so, so looking forward to this weekend away. No children. Just us. BUT FIRSTTTTT. Editing. Editing. And more sessions. I will have it all done before we leave Saturday morning. Anddddd bring the DOGS! This was a big doggy weekend - and I had even more this past weekend. Please, don't leave them home if they want to come! Bring them! Love, love the dog + family pictures! They are more than welcome here at my sessions! Also, if you're reading this and you have had a session with me - it's coming! And if I'm seeing you this week - bare with me if I am somewhat of a HOT MESS (in the physical sense). LOVE YOU ALL & this is all just a reminder of how LUCKY I am to have a BUSY SEASON after a terrible, terrible lull from the pandemic. So, THANK YOUUUUU! Also. These families. My goodness. They were all SO great. I usually don't edit a lot of my fall sessions in BLACK + WHITE - but some of these shots, yeah they were screaming to be copied and put into B+W. Such emotion and depth. I love the way some of them came out HAPPY BIRTHDAY to these two cuties! Remi + Miles. We met at the field by my house and did a little outdoor ONE milestone.
Very simple, very cute. The weather has really been on our side - having a bit of an Indian Summer and I'm loving it for all of these outdoor sessions!! Mom brought a little balloon and I brought two little props. That was that. SIMPLE. ADAM + CHRISTIAN turned ONE! Twins. I actually had two sets of twins last month. Both turning one! And both had great sessions. One of these little guys didn't love the camera as much as his brother but we ended up with a great gallery!
Mom wanted a farmer's theme for their session so she brought the backdrop you see below during their cake smash. Adam was all about the cakes. Christian - not so much (see the face below).... So Adam just took Christian's cake too and ate them all. He had a great time - clearly. Made a big ol' mess and loved every second of it. Well, enjoy these cuties! My cousin's daughter Catherine - on her communion day. I was so happy to be able to capture these pictures for them. And soooo happy that their class was actually able to still have their communion!
I remember my communion day SO well. And we, too, had a family friend who took my pictures - and I loved posing and taking those pictures (and of course love looking back on them now too). Catherine was the same. She loved the attention on JUST her. Loved having her pictures taken. The poses, the dress, the fun. Isn't she beautiful? Those lashes. Ugh. Swooning over here. I really love taking communion pictures so much. It's like a mini-bride. Without the "bridezilla pressure". Gotta love that. I've been crazy busy to even sit down to put this blog post together - so it's a little late. And I've decided to just group everyone together SO FAR. I still have two more weekends of these - as they were a HUGE hit.
Fall family mini sessions are seriously one of my favorites! And I must say - all of these families have been so awesome. SO, here are some sneaks! Enjoy them! IN-STUDIO Holiday MINIS are here!
Can't wait to see you all! Here's a little bit of information about my holiday minis... 1. This is a great session for KIDS! However, I can absolutely fit families in the studio but just to note - it is a tight squeeze! 2. You will get two scenes included in your price! One scene will be a clean, simple wreath setup and the second one will be a HOT COCOA stand! This is a new setup for the studio this year and I am super excited for it! 3. If you love the holiday PJS/bed setup - you can choose to ADD ON that setup! It will include some fresh baked cookies as well! Don't forget to pack your PJS! I have a bathroom/large living room to change the kids! 4. My studio is located in Packanack Lake, New Jersey! 5. Upon signing up using the link below - please make sure to venmo me @LKonz your deposit to hold your spot! **COVID: I have allowed time between sessions so I can properly disinfect the studio. I will wear a mask for your entire session. ** Well. Avery (baby number 4, baby girl number 3) IS maybe my very best newbie to date. She literally slept through a crying toddler, screaming children, being somewhat kicked, hugged too tight, you name it. I mean she is after-all - the fourth kid. She has to be used to all of this chaos.
Oh Avery. Isn't she adorable? She was so, so sweet. And she is super, super CUTE. And tiny, tiny. & Ugh. Her hair. Those lips. Those long fingers. Yeah. She won me over. Mom brought so many great props with her - the headbands, the swaddles, the wreaths. You never have to bring things - but I welcome it ALL! Loved everything mom brought!! Also. I think I get to see this family ONE more time before 2020 is over - for some holiday pictures! Can't wait to see how big she is going to be in just a few weeks! Well, intersted in a newborn session in the studio? I'm located in Packanack Lake, NJ - and I would love to have you in studio! I am booking newborns December-February! Let's chat today! Baby Lila is welcomed by big sister Aubrey! Two under two for this momma right here! I was so happy to meet this adorable family and welcome them to the LRP family. After our session, they even invited me to stay for some tea and cookies - and I absolutely said YES!
This session went great - Aubrey made us work for sure - but overall it was really a great session! Lila slept and slept and slept and LOVED being all bundled up in my swaddles. She took all the kisses sweet Aubrey wanted to give out and I tried to capture them all! I sure do love the candidness of a lifestyle session at home. I get to see more interaction between the family and I get to capture all the sweet first moments too. Aubrey was a handful and she RAN the show for sure during this part of our session. But we let her - and some of the pictures of her - just being a cute toddler - are some of my favorites! Enjoy this brand new family of FOUR! Interested in a newborn session at home? No need to travel to my studio - I will come to you! Chat with me today and let's get you on my calendar! I can't believe summer is over tomorrow.
Fall is here. And as I look back at this little shoot of my brother & his family - it brings me back to tan lines, sunshine and sunsets. I always do family pictures for them at the end of the summer (they are usually my last summer family shoot of the year) and every time I come and sit down to edit their session - I am usually dreaming of this summer night as I sit at my desk already freezing from the dropping temps that the end of September brings. I wish we were on our dock, down at our beach house - all showered and sun burned after a long day at the pool swimming for hours. I wish it was just a little humid and maybe a light sweatshirt was needed at night. I wish for those golden sunsets that are really the most beautiful in late August down the shore. Well. I'll keep dreaming, keep wishing. As we get through another New Jersey fall/winter. I will be waiting for my favorite season of all.....Summer - until we meet again next year. You were very, very good to us.
OKAY! They are here. DATES. PRICING. INFO! All ready to go!

31 PEOPLE.
Yup. My largest session to date. Woah. That was a big shoot. But FUN. That was a fun shoot. This family was AMAZING and so easy to work with - I laughed 99% of the entire time. They were all really good sports (even the babies - for the most part). So. GRAM was celebrated with this session - full of her children, her grandchildren and now some sweet great-grandchildren. She had some spunk to her too. Got down in the sand, climbed up on the lifeguard chair - all of it without a single complaint. She was a super awesome lady who I had the pleasure of meeting and taking these pictures for! Here are some sneaks from this session. Enjoy them! The REILLYS.
This family. It's been awhile. Well, thinking about it - we tend to meet at the beach every THREE year. 2014 2017 and now....2020 Each year with a new babe in tow. Now they are up to three boys in their crew and oh BOY was this an active shoot. I kinda loved that though. Capturing them playing, running, racing, jumping in the water, and even getting in trouble (I mean that's just typical in boys though right?) I was super happy to see this family - especially since they now live in Minnesota! It was awesome catching up and hanging out with them for this sunset down in our favorite shore spot - Long Beach Island. Sophie, Chloe, Johnny & their Mommy + Daddy - one of my FAVORITE families. Now a family of 5! Okay. So, I have now photographed this GORGEOUS family since their oldest was a newborn!
I have seen them every year in between for holiday pictures. They have ordered wall art and allowed me to design beautiful gallery walls in their home. They just welcomed baby number three and I was absolutely ecstatic to see them in the studio last week. Sophie rocked her session. She was amazing. And her brother and sister were pretty awesome too. I only had to bribe them with three lollipops each as well as my upstairs playroom to get them to cooperate. Not too bad!! And can we talk about MOM. She literally gave birth to this sweet babe 9 days ago. AMAZING. Also....I wanted to look back on all of my newborn sessions with this family so in case you want to see too - check them all out! Can you even believe how amazing these babies and their HAIR is at birth? Beyond jealous over here!! Also. The photography growth is real ;) Johnny's Newborn Session (2015) Chloe's Newborn Session (2017) & Now Miss Sophie! Enjoy her sneaks! New Rochelle, New York Mister Lucas. 13 days old.
This in-home session was just focused on the baby - no parent shots at all (which was totally fine - I was able to do more solo pictures than usual for this family and that's exactly what they wanted)! Lucas was wide-eye and alert for the beginning of our session. But within minutes he was fast asleep. He was pretty stubborn with his hands so I tucked them in completely for the first hour. Then once he was super sleepy and passed out - I unfolded him slowly to do a couple different shots with his hands out. So glad he let me! Scroll all the way down: At the end of the session...the pup wanted to join on in so we gave it a shot and it worked. We used small treats on the baby's back and although you may see the puppy resting her sweet little head on his back - she was just sniffing for some more cookies! If you're intersted in booking a newborn session (in-home or in-studio) contact me today & let's chat! Getting Ready with the Groomsmen! You know I really don't do weddings.
I make exceptions for close friends and family. Well, when I was asked to cover the groom's getting ready portion of this wedding - I couldn't say no. I actually LOVE the getting ready pictures so much. Even my own wedding - I remember as a bride impatiently waiting to see my husband's getting ready pictures because - well, I obviously wasn't there - and I wanted to see his face, maybe his nerves, and his morning routine the morning of our big day. I loved capturing these moments for Sean & Joanna and I am so happy that they chose me to be the one to do so. Sean - my best friend's little brother. Who I have known for almost 25 years GOT MARRIED! I swear there was a time where (when I was in the 4th grade) I loved this little kid so much I wanted to marry him. I can't believe here we are - 25 year later - and I'm the photographer taking pictures of his big day! CRAZY. I am so beyond happy for him and his new wife Joanna and I wish them nothing but happiness! Cheers to you both! Enjoy these sneaks! xoxo && scroll down to the last picture - that's how these guys feel about wearing a mask on a wedding day.... In-Studio Session - Packanack Lake, New Jersey Sweet Carly. Born 4 weeks early!
Just about a month old here. She was super precious, super adorable and for the most part - was an angel for me! It wasn't until we tried to push our luck with ONE more extra pose (naked on the beanbag) but yeah no - little miss was not having it. She decided to wake up, be all alert and cute. So I just snapped a few on her back while she was hanging out and she blinked in one - so it looks like maybe she was sleeping...but nope! I loved a lot of these images in B&W while I was editing. Something about the shadows and her little face and hands drew me to do more B&W than I normally do for a newborn session. Hope to see Carly again for a milestone session! But until then, enjoy this adorable little premie babes! Looking to have a newborn session with me? Check out my pricing page and contact me to set something up! I have available as early as late September! |
